NASA/SSC intends to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for ten (10) each y-pattern, extended bonnet/body globe valves for Liquid Hydrogen (LH) and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) service ranging in size from 1 inch to 8 inches. The globe valves shall be vacuum jacketed or unjacketed, position controlled or on/off, hydraulically or pneumatically actuated, and balanced or unbalanced as specified on the individual data sheets to be included in the Specification. Complete Specifications shall be included in the RFO. A firm-fixed price commercial item contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.6 and the NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. It shall be the responsibility of each offeror to monitor NAIS for solicitation releases as the solicitation will be released as soon as practicable whether prior or subsequent to May 20, 1998.
