The medical waste processor offered must be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The medical waste processor must provide a minimum of the following processes OR EQUAL: (1) sterilizes by directly contacting waste with steam; (2) system shall accept and treat unsorted infectious medical waste; (3) system processor capacity shall be approximately 500 pounds per load; (4) system shreds waste rendering waste and unrecongizable; (5) waste from the processor shall meet environmental quality standards as general waste.
