Wheeler, Contact Specialist, (907) 729-2974/2977-Fax It is the intent of the Alaska Area Native Health Service (AANHS) in Anchorage, AK, to enter into a sole source contract with GE Medical Systems of Wakasha, WI, for acquisition of a variety of technical support services and training for GE imaging equipment located in the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) in Anchorage, and for GE imaging equipment located in other AANHS-affiliated tribal health facilities throughout Alaska. The period of the contract will extend for 1 year, with additional pricing made available for four (4) option years. Service and training prices will be quoted for each type of equipment and course, for each year, and for each level of service. Options for glassware, transducers, MR coils, or extended hour coverage shall be made available and quoted separately. The Contractor shall perform and provide pricing for at least three (3) different levels of service for all types of GE imaging equipment as defined below: 1) Full Service is defined as a level of support in which all service and components or parts are provided by the contractor. All preventive maintenance (PM) is performed and documented by contractor, with a frequency and detail as per GE Medical specifications or recommendations. Unlimited emergency trips and all required corrective maintenance (CM) is performed and documented by contractor. Full Service also includes all services offered under Limited Service (3) below. Response time for Full Service will be less than or equal to 15 minutes by phone and 2 hours on-site. 2) Shared Service is defined as a level of support in which first-call service is provided by AANHS Biomedical Technicians who have received maintenance training on GE Medical equipment. Contractor shall provide all required replacement components or parts. Scheduled PM and emergency troubleshooting is performed by AANHS technicians, but the contractor is available for backup and unlimited emergency CM calls. Shared Service also includes all services offered under Limited Service (3) below. Response time for Shared Service will be less than or equal to 30 minutes by phone and 4 hours on-site. 3) Limited Service is defined as including: access to technical consultation via phone (24 hours per day; 7 days per week), remote diagnostic services supplied when the technology has that capability (24 hours per day; 7 days per week), software enhancements, updates, and upgrades, and replacement components or parts as required. Limited Service for MR magnet will include regular MR cryogen-fill. Response time for Limited Service will be less than or equal to 2 hours by phone and 8 hours on-site. For Limited Service, the following Contractor supplied backup on-site hours shall be included per year to assist AANHS technicians with emergency CM: Single phase Rad, R&F: up to 10 hours Three phase Rad, R&F: up to 15 hours Vascular: up to 25 hours CT: up to 35 hours MR: up to 60 hours AMX series: up to 5 hours Surgical C-Arm, up to 10 hours Ultrasound: up to 5 hours Nuclear Medicine: up to 5 hours The Limited Service hours cited above are for use as required by the AANHS and shall be made available 24 hours a day and 7 days per week, after government Biomedical Technicians have performed troubleshooting for a minimum of two (2) hours and have made the determination that assistance is required. Each level of service shall include provision of replacement parts and deinstallation and reinstallation of optional glassware (i.e. tubes, image intensifiers, gamma camera crystals, TV camera pickup tubes, and photo-multipliers).
