C -- A/E DESIGN SERVICES FOR JOHN HAY ESTATE RENOVATION AT THE JOHN HAY NWR, NH SOL 501818R004 DUE 060498 POC Dale E. Aubin 413-253-8230 or Marsha Browning 413-253-8236 The work consists of Architect and Engineering Services to provide design services for the renovation of the John Hay Estate at the John Hay National Wildlife Refuge in Merrimack County, New Hampshire. The colonial revival style estate including the grounds, landscaping and structures is in the process of being nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. The renovated buildings will provide for the administrative, visitor, educational, maintenance and public use needs of the Refuge. The selected A/E firm will investigate and prepare a report of the current conditions of buildings, with estimate, which will form the basis of the final design for the facility. Emphasis will be given to firms with multi-disciplined experience in the renovation of historic buildings. Proposals shall include the following sections for Government use in the evaluation of firms in the order of descending importance; 1) Experience in planning and designing similar facilities (25%); 2) Multi-disciplined experience, including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering experience (25%); 3) Experience and availability of key personnel (20%); 4) Experience and qualifications of the Historical Architect in designing similar projects (20%); and 5) Ability to provide products on time and within budget (10%).
