This acquisition is unrestricted; the standard industrial classification code is 3821. The acquisition is for the following item (part number is Ampex): Line Item 0001, 1 each, Data recorder, DCRsi 75 standard record-only 28VDC with manuals for installation, operations, and service. MFR: Ampex. P/N: 1306866-01. The part number provided above is meant to show the Government's minimum requirements. Offerors can quote on equals. The offered unit shall meet the following performance requirements: Shall be capable of interfacingwith a Calculex ARMOR-240 Asynchronous Real-time Multiplexer. Shall be able to accept and record a Byte-wide, ECL Differential signal. Data rate capabilities shall be from 0 to 9.3 MBytes/sec. Communication interface of RS232 or RS422 and shall be able to accept discrete control and status information from the Calculex ARM-240 series controller. Shall be able to use standard high performance digital tape cartridge type 5000 series tapes. Maximum size shall be 21"W x 13.5" D x 9"H. Error correction shall be Reed-Solomon with error rates < 1 in 10 Billion. Shall be airborne qualified. Offerors quoting on equals must provide descriptive literature to the extent necessary to allow the Government to determine the technical acceptability of the equal item.
