The Dept. of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Southeast Regional Office, Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking request for construction of eight observation towers for the Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield, South Carolina. The contractor shall be responsible for all coordination and interfacing of all the constructions sites and the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining security measures and standards by the Bureau of Prisons for a security prison environment. The estimated cost range of the project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available upon written requests only. Plans and specifications will be available on or about May 22, 1998. Contract performance is anticipated to be approximately 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. Contractors not bidding on this project must advise the contracting officer in writing that they wish to remain on the mailing list. This procurement is not set-aside for small business firms.
