U -- DIABETES TODAY NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER: DEVELOPING COMMUNITY MODELS FOR DIABETES PREVENTION AND CONTROL IN PACIFIC BASIN SOL 98B150(N) DUE 062998 POC Margie Usry, Contract Specialist, (404) 842-6553 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates award of a five year contract (including options) to establish a national training center that will conduct training courses in Diabetes Today' and provide technical assistance and follow-up to participating states, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, national and regional organizations, and communities; coordinate the development of a Spanish version of Diabetes Today', conceptualized in an Hispanic sociocultural framework and written in both Spanish and English. Written requests for copies of the solicitation will be honored if received within 15 days of the RFP issue date, which will be on or about May 15, 1998. Requests received after that date will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis until the supply is exhausted.
