United States Postal Service is soliciting for proposals to lease an
existing building, space to be modified, or a building to be
constructed for the Chaplin, CT Main Post Office. The space
requirements are 4,598 SF Net Interior Space; 26,700 SF Driveway,
Parking, & Maneuvering; and 81,300 SF Minimum Site Size. The prefereed
Area is: North: From the intersection of Route 198 & Chaplin Rd.,
South on Route 198 only; South: On Route 6 to the Town Line; East: On
Route 6 to the Town Line; West: Route 6. The term is for 20 years with
four 5-year renewal options. Proposals will be received through May
29, 1998, and must be submitted by principals only, on specified forms
and in accordance with the official advertisement for space.
Solicitation packages may be purchased by sending a non-refundable
cashier's check or money order made payable to "USPS DISBURSING
OFFICER" in the amount of $25.00 to the attention of K. Twiss at the
above address. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their
