19087-4585 D -- DEVELOP A PC-WINDOWS BASED SYSTEM THAT UTILIZES A COMMERCIAL
OFF-THE-SHELF (COTS) DATABASE (MS-ACCESS). SOL NA-98-09 DUE 061698 POC
Patricia Pierce -- 610-975-4248 The USDA-Forest Service intends to
award a contract for the development and ownership of a PC-Window based
system that utilizes a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) database
(MS-Access). A proto-type based upon several existing State systems
will be used as a model for the new system. The system will also need
the ability to electronically exchange data to/from other related
Federal automated systems. The system will also provide standard and
ad-hoc querry reports that will assist the FEPP manager in documenting
and analyzing trends of acquisition and disposal of property. Graphic
display of this data is also a requirement. The application will also
produce annual acquisition plans, along with a reconciliation process
to make physical inventory much easier to accomplish against the
official NFC property data base. The ability to accept input from
bar-code readers and other scanners is required. The gov't also intends
to have two optional periods for technical support and maintenance.
Offerors are to fax requests to P.Pierce at 610-975-4224. This
set-aside for small businesses. (0121) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0027 19980505\D-0004.SOL)
