The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport intends to negotiate a modification to sole source contract N66604-96-D-A574 with Lockheed Martin Librascope Corporation, 811 Sonora Avenue, Glendale, CA 91201-2433. The modification is for increased level of effort and extension of the period of performance to support integration and interface of MK 48 Fire Control Systems and Launcher Systems into foreign submarines. The increased level of effort will be from 7140 hours by 4,150 hours to 11,290, and an the extension of the period of performance will be from 3 January 1999 to 31 December 2000. Lockheed Martin Librascope Corporation is the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government's needs. See Note 22. (0121)
