It would be appreciated if your company would address the following performance characteristics to determine if your firm currently has a machine that would match or partially match this need. Performance Requirements: Power input:240/440 volts AC/DC. Power Output: 300 Amps. Phase: single. Controls: Power switch/gas water switch (potential for TIG water cooling)/High frequency switch/remote receptacle/Amp control rheostat/range switch/Polarity switch/Preflow/Post flow timers/Input water valves/output water valves. Welding processes: Weld Ferrous/Nonferrous metals. TIG/MIG Arc/Flux core/Air Carbon, Arc Cutting and Gouging. Capable of working steel and aluminum. Duty Cycle: 60% or higher. Min.Cur.Spec.Volts: 7 Amps at 6V. Desired Accessories: air cooled TIG Torch, 250 Amp, 15 ft (w/access kit). Foot Control (15ft), w/power Block. Argon Gauge(1 ea). Min. 25 ft Arc Lead/Ground Lead(2 ea). MIG attachment W/Access.For Ferrous/Nonferrous welding. Carbon Air Arc cutting & Gouging(1 ea). CO2 Flow Meter (1 ea). MIG Attachments, for ferrous/nonferrous Welding. Must match amps of the machine. IF INTERESTED, THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE IS DESIRED: 1. Company name and address. 2. Company point of contact(POC), phone number, fax/email numbers if available. 3. Does your equipment have a Government National Stock Number? 4. Does your equipment meet, exceed, or partially meet the above given requirement? 5. Dimensions, i.e. weight, size, height, length, width? 6. Paint, i.e. one coat of primer with one or more coats of enamel? 7. Does the equipment come with a commercially available manual that addresses how to install, lift, maintain/service, operate, store, electrical/wiring schematics, parts breakouts. Does this manual provide a POC for acquiring parts operating or repair support. Does it have warnings and safety issues addressed? 8. Does your equipment come with a standard commercial warranty. If so, what does it cover and how? If so, how much would it cost and for how long? 9.How is your equipment packaged and preserved for domestic shipment or is this considered an additional cost? 10. What is the approximate cost for the equipment being recommended? Is there a cost break for multiple purchases? If so, how many must be bought prior to a reduction in cost is applied. Does your company offer a discount for prompt payment? If so, what are the terms? 11. When your equipment is being manufactured, what commercial practices are being followed to assure quality? 12. Are any special tools required to run or maintain your equipment? 13. Is there anything that we need to know about your equipment that would make it appear or have features that would make itunique when considering other pieces of like equipment from other manufactures? 14. Is your company prepared to supply long term support for technology and repair parts support. DESC: Market Research for off the shelf welding machine, 30 April, 1998.
