Peters, Contracting Officer (719)333-2734 This project consists of, but is not limited to, the repair, replacement and upgrade of temperature control components and systems including programming of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) throughout the Air Force Academy. All installed hardware and software shall interface with the existing facility network and shall be year-2000 compliant. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is contemplated. Work will be issued on delivery orders as requirements are identified. Delivery order prices will be based on line items negotiated in a Unit Price Schedule. Performance period will be one year from the date of award with two one-year options that may be exercised unilaterally at the Government's discretion. A minimum of $50,000 is guaranteed during the basic year. The contract maximum is $5,000,000 of work over the term of the contract. Contract award will result from negotiation of a written request for proposal. However, the Contracting Officer reserves the right to award without further discussion. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled for issuance on or about 15 Jun 98. Acquisition is under other than full and open competition to accommodate standardization of controls within the facilities and ensure compatibility between the Energy Management Control System (EMCS) main workstation and the facilities DDC controls.
