This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 98-Q-41 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This action is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 5045 Computer Equipment, Peripherals and Software, and the small business size standard is 100. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for the following four items in the specified quantities: Item No. 1: Seventeen (17) Dell P6400 computers (SKU # 220-0501) with the following: Mouse Pad (310-0007); Microsoft PS2 Intellimouse (310-3600); the following additional items are to be factory installed, Reduced Documentation for GXaEM/GNL systems (310-2268); Win95 Spacesaver Keyboard (310-1234); 64MB, ECC, SDRAM, 1DIMM, 100MHz, GX1, 350+Mhz (311-0512); 14-32X CD-ROM, IDE (313-0524); 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive (340-0701); 4.3 GB IDE Hard Drive, GX1, M/T, 350 Mhz (340-0738); Windows 95, CD-ROM, OSR2.1, Optiplex/WS (420-6108); Active Expansion Riser for GX1 M/T Systems, 3PCI/2 Shared/2 ISA Wakeup on Lan (430-0118); first year next business day on site warranty service (900-1350); and years 2 and 3 next business day parts delivery service (900-5112). Item No. 2: Seven (7) Dell 17" color monitors Model D1025TM, UltraScan 1000HS (320-0120); Item No. 3: Three (3) 4GB SCSI Hard Drive, SCA for Dell Poweredge Servers (340-7678); and Item No. 4: One (1) Poweredge Expandable Raid Controller with 4MB, customer install (340-0067). The Contractor shall deliver the complete quantity; FOB Destination, US Secret Service, 1800 G Street, NW, Room 942, Washington, DC 20223. Delivery within five (5) business days of receipt of award. The Government intends toaward a firm fixed price contract, to the offeror whose quotation conforming to the specification will be the most price advantageous to the Government. All responsible small business sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which will be considered by the USSS. Please note price quotes by fax transmission will not be accepted.
