The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM)intends to negotiate with Rolls-Royce Military Aero Engines, LTD, Bristol, England, under Procurement Initiation Document (PID) N00019-98-P7-PD006 for the procurement of FY98 Adour engine modules. NAVAIRSYSCOM intends to procure a quantity of two (2) each of Module 5 (CLIN 0408), High Pressure Turbine Nozzle Guide Vane Assembly (Part Number M05408) and a quantity of five (5) each of Module 10 (CLIN 0413), External Gearbox (Part Number M10409). Rolls Royce is the sole manufacturer of the Adour engine and is the only firm with the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform the effort. See Note 22. (0120)
