Y -- TRACTION POWER SOL ML-97-SB-2325 DUE 071698 POC Sandra Armstrong, (314) 982-1400 ext. 1329 The Bi-State Development Agency (Agency) is soliciting bids for Traction Power for the St. Clair County Illinois MetroLink Extension project. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal is 16%. DBE firms are invited to propose directly or with another firm. This is a system-wide contract, where the work involves installation of eleven (11) traction power substations, the overhead catenary, and the required interfaces to the outside utilities. The Contract also includes installation of all other traction power requirements in the storage yard portion of the Illinois Maintenance Facility. The traction power substations are rated at 1.5MW. The substation units are required to be completely factory assembled and ready for connection to the utility interface, prior to shipment, on the concrete pad provided by this contractor. The overhead catenary system includes the overhead distribution subsystem, the physical support system, and disconnect switches for 17.4 miles of the double-track mainline and 1.6 miles of single-track yard tracks. THE COST FOR A SET OF PLANS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IS $325.00. THIS IS NON-REFUNDABLE. Each request must be accompanied by either a certified check, money order, or cashiers check payable to BI-State Development Agency. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the requestor.
