provides for a modification to the requirements specified in previous
synopsis posted on or around February 7, 1998 and March 27, 1998. The
following provides the complete corrected version. The U.S. Marshals
Service (USMS) requires the lease of aircraft. All aircraft shall be
U.S. registered transport category turbo jet powered meeting stage III
noise criteria. The USMS requires the lease of two types of aircraft:
1) Non specific aircraft identified which will be ordered by
designated passenger capacity. The cost associated with the lease of
this aircraft shall include aircraft, crew, insurance and maintenance.
2) The second type of lease shall be specific aircraft type without
crew. The specifically identified aircraft types include the lease of
727 100/200, DC-9 all series, Sabreliner 75A/80 and Lear 25 B-D. The
costs associated with the lease for specified aircraft shall include
aircraft, insurance and maintenance. For leases of aircraft without
crew, properly certified USMS pilots/crew will be used. It is estimated
the aircraft for both types of leases will be flown approximately 15 to
30 hours per week. The aircraft will generally depart and return to one
of three designated points: 1) Oklahoma City, OK; 2) El Paso, TX; or 3)
Alexandria, LA; however, the USMS may require alternative
positioning/depositioning sites. Multiple award Basic Ordering
Agreements with one base year plus four option years will be awarded to
all acceptable offerors. The estimated amount of all orders issued
under the resulting basic ordering agreement for the first year will be
approximately $5M. After execution of the initial BOAs, the USMS
reserves the right to continue to evaluate and execute additional BOAs
with qualified firms. The Government will continue to solicit
qualified sources on an annual basis through issuance of commerce
business daily notice. Only concerns holding basic ordering agremeents
will be solicited to participate in the competition(s) for individual
orders. This synopsis serves to informpotential offerors of the
requirements, as specified above, which will result in orders during
the first year of the BOAs. This notice shall be considered to have
fulfilled the synopsis requirements set forth in FAR 5.201 for all
orders issued during the first year of the resulting BOAs. Request for
