(619)553-4536. This is a sources sought synopsis. The Space and Naval
Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSCSD) is seeking small/small
disadvantaged businesses who are interested in responding to a future
solicitation for RF engineering services to support and maintain the
Navy Extremely High Frequency Satellite Program (NESP) and Land Based
Test Facility (LBTF). Support will include component system analysis
and design, product development and bench testing, mechanical
engineering support, component system integration, installation,
testing and evaluation. The systems may consist of voice, data, and
video communication systems that are responsible for establishing,
maintaining, monitoring and controlling link at high frequency, very
high frequency, ultra-high frequency and extremely high frequency. The
anticipated contract will be for five years for an estimated 45, 500
hours and will be awarded on an indefinite quantity, cost plus fixed
fee basis. All SB/SDB firms are invited to submit a capabilities
statement, within 15 days, describing the types of related services
their company offers. Provide firm's name/mailing address, point of
contact/telephone number and business size. The government will not
recognize any costs associated with submission of information by
interested parties. This is not a request for a proposal and a
solicitation is not available at this time. Target time for release of
an RFP is 30 June 1998. Responses must be received in writing.
