D -- SUPPORT SERVICES FOR SACONS SOL 402/0010Z/98 POC Roberta J. Law, Contract Specialist, (202) 231-2151 The Virginia Contracting Activity of the Defense Intelligence Agency intends to issue a commercial sole source award to CACI, Incorporated, 1100 North Glebe Road, Arlington, Virginia 22201, for (a) support services for the Standard Automated Contract System (SACONS) Version 4.3x; and, SACONS for Windows license upgrades and maintenance. The renewal of licenses, maintenance and upgrades, and on-site services are necessary for continued support of contracting personnel currently utilizing the SACONS system. SACONS-Federal software program is a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product available from several dealers. However, as CACI, Incorporated is the commercial developer of SACONS-Federal, and retains proprietary data rights to the software, they are the only source available to provide support to the source code necessary for the interfaces to occur. Additionally, as the software developer, CACI, Incorporated is also the sole proponent of any formal classroom training for the software upgrades. Period of performance of the contract is for a six-month period, from 01 Apr 98 thru 30 Sep 98. (0118)
