USDA, National Finance Center (NFC) intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to The A Consulting Team, (TACT), 200 Park Ave S. /Suite 901, New York, NY 10003 to provide the Year 2000 (Y2K) database test requirements. TACT will provide Y2K database tools that function in a Computer Associates, IDMS/ADSO environment running under the OS/390 operating system. NFC has selected TACT for its unique capability to provide a total set of data aging tools that integrate with IDMS for virtual and physical data aging and provide physical data aging for DB/2 and Sequential/VSAM file. This procurement is being awarded as a Simplified Acquisition Procedure, in accordance with FAR Part 13. Authority for sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1. This is a synopsis of intent to award and no solicitation will be issued.
