FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement will be issued as a sole source procurement for Wagner's trademark ThermoLoc sterilizer containers under authority from FAR 6.302-1. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotes are being requested with this announcement. The solicitation number is N00244-98-Q-0240. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-47 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The standard industrial code is 3851 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The agency need is for fifteen each different items. Clin 0001 is for six (6) each size ThermoLoc surgical sterilization instrument containers, P/N: WAG1v13ara. (The ThermoLoc surgical instrument sterilization containers are a patented item, which eliminates disposable filters, and wraps for sterilized surgical instruments. These containers have a reusable automatic valve that eliminates the need for disposable filters and also the ThermoLoc system eliminates the need for tamper evident seals.) Clin 0002 is for one (1) each size surgical instrument ThermoLoc container, P/N: WAG1v13aba. Clin 0003 is for twelve (12) each size ThermoLoc instrument container, P/N: WAG1v13aga. Clin 0004 is for twenty-five (25) each size ThermoLoc instrument containers, P/N: WAG3v15ara. Clin 0005 is for fourteen (14) each size ThermoLoc instrument containers, P/N: WAG3v15aba. Clin 0006 is for fourteen (14) each size ThermoLoc instrument containers, P/N: WAG3v15aga. Clin 0007 is for thirteen (13) each full size ThermoLoc instrument containers, P/N: WAG2v13ara. Clin 0008 is for six (6) each full size ThermoLoc instrument containers. Clin 0009 is for two (2) each full size ThermoLoc instrument containers, P/N: WAG2v13aga.Clin 0010 is for nineteen (19) each size ThermoLoc instrument baskets, P/N: WGN33p80a. Clin 0011 is for fifty-three (53) each size ThermoLoc instrument baskets, P/N: WGN43p100a. Clin 0012 is for twenty-one (21) each full size ThermoLoc instrument baskets, P/N: WGN63p80a. Clin 0013 is for forty-four (44) each ID labels for the instrument containers, P/N: LRT6020. Clin 0014 is for twenty-one (21) each ID labels for the instrument containers, P/N: LBT6020. Clin 0015 is for twenty-six (26) each ID labels for the instrument containers, P/N: LGT6020. These items shall be delivered FOB Dest to San Diego, CA. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1, paragraph (b)(5): Offers shall provide an express warranty which at a minimum shall be the same warranty terms, including offers of extended warranties, offered to the general public. Express warranties shall be included in the contract. The government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the government considering price and price related factors. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, applies with paragraph (a) completed as follows: Award will be made to the offeror that meets the solicitations minimum criteria for technical acceptability at the lowest price. To be determined technically acceptable, the offeror must furnish product literature that demonstrates the products offered meet all requirements stated in the above purchase descriptions.
