The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) is issuing a Market Survey for a possible competitive HETS solicitation in fiscal year 2000 or 2001 for a 5 year, multi-year contract. The HETS is a truck/trailer combination, which transports the 70 ton M1 main battle tank, and other heavy tracked vehicles, on and off road. The Market Survey is a continuation of TACOM efforts to openly communicate its requirements with industry and to solicit comments/information from potential offerors.
