The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate a contract modification to contract NRC-26-96-265 on a sole source basis with GSE Power Systems, Inc. to purchase a Chernobyl 3 nuclear power plant (NPP) simulation software load for installation on an analytical simulator purchased by the NRC from GSE for the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Nuclear Safety (MEPNS) of Ukraine. This software load is to be developed with GSE proprietary software modeling tools used to develop the MEPNS analtyical simulator and an analytical simulator for Chernobyl 3 NPP personnel in 1997.
