38 -- CRUSH CONCRETE DEBRIS INTO USABLE AGGREGRATE SOL F08637-98-QX663 DUE 051498 POC TSgt Andrew Carrington at 850-283-8623 or Ms Nell Matchkus at 850-283-8620, FAX 850-283-3963 The 325th Contracting Squadron, Consolidated Acquisition Flight, Tyndall AFB, Florida, requires crushing of approximately 10,000 tons of concrete debris. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Peavy and Son Construction Co. Inc. Route 4, Box 2090, Havana FL 32333. Contractor shall provide all equipment, support, personnel, tools, spare parts, fuel and materials to crush a minimum of 10,000 tons of concrete debris. Crusher must be capable of handling concrete materials approximately 8" 10" thick, 36" long and 24" wide to produce a final gradation of 1" to 1 3/4" with minimum fines at a minimum rate of 150 tons per hour. Materials will have a minimal amount of rebar, dowel pins, and tie bars in the debris. Vendor must have sufficient material handling equipment to place material at a designated storage area as prescribed by OSHA. Machine must have certifiable scales to record production quantities. The performance period for crushing operations will not exceed 21 day after the date of award, Monday through Friday between the hours of 0700-1600. Work is to be performed on site, at the Silver Flag Exercise area, 264 Strange Point Loop, Tyndall AFB, Florida. Tyndall AFB is located approximately 12 miles east of Panama City and the Silver Flag Exercise Area is located approximately 10 miles east of the main gate. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining, whether to conduct a competitive procurement on this or future requirements of the same item(s).
