This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1443RQ557098007 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. In accordance with FAR Part 19, this solicitation is open to all businesses; the standard industrial classification code is 3537. The government requests quotations for one (1) each of the following item: Forklift, all-terrain, equal to John Deere Model 486E. The unit shall have a 70 hp diesel engine, 6000 pound lift capacity, 21 foot free lift mast, working lights, full power steering, steer axle four-wheel drive, 12.5/80-18 inch 10PR traction tires, dual batteries, suspension seatwith three inch seat belt, and 48" forks. The forklift shall be delivered complete and ready to use no later than 60 days after receipt of the purchase order by the successful offeror to the Natchez National Historical Park located in Natchez, Mississippi. Acceptance and FOB point are destination. Provide quote on company letterhead and provide descriptive literature on the product quoted. In addition, provide information relative to the evaluation factors listed below and include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items," with the quotation (a copy of this provision may be obtained from the contracting officer). The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items, is applicable with the following evaluation criteria included in paragraph (a) of that provision; technical capability of the product to perform the intended function, price, parts availability, and service locations.
