Y -- INSTALLATION OF DRYWALL CEILING AND STEEL GRID WORK SOL RFQ 124-0261 DUE 052298 POC Richard S. Houser, Contract Specialist, 608-584-6120 Installation of a drywall ceiling in the kitchen, bakery and dishwashing room of the Food Service Department located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford, WI. Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to install approximately 8000 sq.ft. of new sheet rock 5/8" waterproof drywall ceiling attached to steel stud grid work and finished with a waterproof epoxy finish. Contractor will be required to work between the hours of 6:00pm and 2:30am, Monday through Friday. Installation of grid work consisting of 18 ga studs (16"OC) to be fastened securely to the walls and ceiling. Install 5/8" waterproof drywall-where the drywall meets the wall a 5/8" non-corrosive L-channel will be utilized. Modify and adjust existing life safety sprinkler system to accommodate new ceiling. Install approximately 15 2'x 2' metal access doors as specified by FCI Oxford COTR. Tape and finish with an epoxy based paint (rust-oleum 5381 gray primer & 5300 water based epoxy finished system (or equivalent)). Applicatin of 1 primer coat and 2 finish coats (2.5 DFT mils) with sufficient drying time allotted between coats. Finish must be acceptable to application in a food service prep area and meet all USDA requirements. Reinstall all equipment, i.e. speaker system, exhaust fans, ect. and ensure proper operation.
