The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the District of Columbia intends to issue a consolidated Request for Proposal to acquire lockbox services on behalf of a variety of agencies of the DC Government that use such services. -- -- -- A draft Statement of Work has been prepared which details the lockbox service requirements of the agencies in terms that reflect the input received from the user agencies. It is available for review by the members of the banking industry that are interested in potentially making a proposal to supply such services to the CFO in response to an RFP, once it is issued. -- -- -- - The draft is being made available at this time for two reasons: The CFO's procurement office wishes to receive suggestions from the marketplace that will enable this office to consider and incorporate into the final SOW any services and technology developments not provided for in the draft SOW that the District could use to enhance operational efficiency or cost effectiveness. Additionally, suggestions for revisions and additions of the draft are desired from potential vendors that will enable this office to incorporate details or subject matter into the final SOW that are missing in the draft, which will reduce and hopefully eliminate questions and the need for clarifications during the solicitation process. -- -- -- - Replies to this request for information will not be used to rate or rank vendors or be used to select recipients of the RFP. Every respondee will receive a copy of the RFP once it is issued. The RFP is scheduled for release on or about June 12, 1998.
