This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Numbered N00164-98-R-0030 is issued as a Request for Proposal. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-9. The Standard Industrial Code is 3699. CLIN 0001 -- AN/313A A/B Broadband Antenna, Technical Systems Associates, Inc. (TSA) P/N 78E6N1100, a minimum quantity of 84 each and a maximum quantity of 125 each. F.O.B. Destination, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane IN terms apply with inspection and acceptance at Source. Delivery shall commence within 180 days after the effective date of the contract for the first 25 units. Remaining units are required tobe delivered 25 each per month thereafter. This is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The acquisition of the TSA brand name antennas is essential to the Government's requirements. Therefore, this acquisition will be issued on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for the TSA antennas. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
