This is a combination synopsis and amendment 0002 to solicitation number F04700-98R-0005, which was originally dated 27 October 1997. This announcement constitutes the second amendment to this solicitation; revised quotations are currently being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for a Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-4 and DAC 91-13. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) has a requirement to design, build, install, and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to install a pressure demand breathing air system in Buildings 1600-A and 1634, located at 300 East Mojave Blvd, Edwards Air Force Base, CA. The purpose of these two systems is to provide a safe, reliable, and healthy air breathing system, that will protect the painters painting various military aircraft on base. AFFTC intends to use delivery time, past performance, and price in evaluating and awarding. The Simplified Acquistion Procedure (SAP) will be used in awarding this contract by written quotation.
