The Base work includes the building demolition of concrete, brick, windows at west side of building 80 and construct a handicapped accessible entrance, including ramp, railing, door, steel, electrical work and lighting. Bid item 1 work is to renovate existing restrooms in the lower level of the west side of building 80 to ADA accessibility standards. The solicitation will be issued May 05 1998. The Bid Opening date will be Jun 04 1998. The SIC code is 1542. The estimated cost range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The proposed contract is subject to the evaluation critreria set forth in DFAR 252.219-7008, Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns, Acquisition Test Program (APR 1996). There is a NON-REFUNDABLE charge for plans and specifications. Offerors interetsed in obtaining plans and specifications for this project must submit their request along with a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Money Order or VISA in tha mount of $38.00 to DEFENSE AUTOMATED PRINTING SERVICE (DAPS), 47 CHANDLER ST, NEWPORT RI 02841-1712. Each check must be made payable to the US Treasury and annotated with the applicable solicitation number. One set of plans and specifications will be sent via first class mail. Any check recieved without a soliciatation number or not made out to the US Treasury will be returned unprocessed. NO CASH, COMPANY, OR PERSONAL CHECKS, will be accepted.
