BRICE, (205) 876-8035 The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center DIA/MSIC), intends to solicit offers for the purchase of a 1998 Heavy Duty Truck to be used for the transport of unique Foreign Munitions and Equipment. Delivery of this vehicle is required on or before 15 June 1998 in accordance with the following General specifications: 1998 Heavy Duty Truck, low profile, 6.6 Litre-four stroke diesel engine 200 hp, CAT 3116 or equivalent engine, 5 speed transmission, equipped with 19 foot non-ferrous aluminum rollback bed with 10,000 lbs winch. The vehicle shall be a 1998-year model, assembled from readily available material and parts currently under manufacture. There shall be no new or experimental designs developed for this vehicle. Vehicles currently available in inventory meeting this requirement may be proposed. Additional specifications as set forth in the RFQ. All responsible sources may submit a quote, along with complete vehicle specifications, which shall be considered. Award will be made to the lowest total price quoted meeting all required specifications. All vendors interested in submitting an offer to provide this truck must request, via facsimile, a copy of the RFQ.
