Barnes, Contract Specialist, (202) 426-0131 The Department of Energy intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract with only one source, the University of Cambridge (UC), under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) only one responsible source. UC will organize an international based scientific meeting to review the results of past and current work and discuss the future directions of work on radiation and thyroid cancer. The meeting will be held for three days with a program to include 8 major sessions. A total of 26 invited speakers will be presenting and discussing the results of their work. The proposed sole source is only to pay for the speakers and their per diem to the seminar. In addition, speakers will be also chosen based on the submitted abstract to bring the total number of speakers to well over 50. UC will provide an abstract book and report on the meeting with presenters articles within 3 months following the meeting. The Period of Performance is ninety days.
