SPEECH TECHNOLOGY WHICH CAN BE USED TO IMPROVE COMMAND AND CONTROL

Manager, 850-882-0492 This is a Request for Information (RFI). The
Command and Control Battlelab (C2B) is requesting information on
modeling and simulation tools that can be used to improve Command and
Control (C2) operations. Modeling and simulation tools, which enhance
the productivity of C2 activities, may include communication and
management applications (i.e. video teleconferencing, white boarding,
and chat tools). Information is requested on any products that enable
multiple battle management operators to converse, collaborate, and
interact in geographically and temporally dispersed work teams. The C2B
is interested in products which facilitate communications in dispersed
meeting places, maintain corporate memory, assist in scheduling
resources and permit the use of various data sets. Respondents to this
RFI/market survey are requested to provide technical data to include
a discussion of the value their product would add to the command and
control process. All corporate and proprietary information should be so
marked and will be fully protected to the extent allowed. This RFI is
for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for
proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire
any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a
contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information
solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or
charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of
responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. This RFI
does not constitute the solicitation of proposals. Responders to this
RFI may be requested to provide additional details/information based
on their initial submittals. Responses to the RFI should be sent to the
