This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued. This announcement will not be available from NASA in hard copy format. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ): RFQ3-094307. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The provisions and clauses applicable to this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 3829, and the associated small business size standard is 500. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: Item No. 1. (Quantity -1) Schenck Model No. HL2 SUPPORT KIT or equivalent. -- Hoffman balance machine (#HL-16.1, Year 1979) upgrade support and saddle assembly for balancing turbomachinery with more than two (2) bearing support locations. The Hoffman balancing machine to be upgraded is equipped with Schenck digital readout #cab690. Item No. 2. -- (Quantity -1) Schenck Model No. H5 SUPPORT KIT or equivalent. -- Schenck balance machine (H690-ho5-ho5ub, Year 1973) upgrade support and saddle assembly for balancing turbomachinery with more than two (2) bearing support locations. The Schenck balancing machine to be upgraded is equipped with Schenck digital readout #cab690. Item No. 3. -- (Quantity -1) Schenck Model No. HF 5 SADDLE or equivalent. -- Schenck balance machine upgrade saddle assembly for balancing turbomachinery with two (2) twin roller carriages. Item No. 4. -- (Quantity -1) Twin roller carriages for Schenck balance machine upgrade saddle. The price quotation shall include delivery to NASA Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio within 90 days after receipt of order. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by NASA. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Award will be based upon overall best value to the Government. Selection and award will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items. The following evaluation factors apply: (1)technical ability of the quoter to furnish the required items, (2) price, (3) past performance. Technical and past performance, when combined, are substantially equal to price. Technical acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the quoter as follows: The Quoter shall furnish with their quote a description in sufficient detail to show that the products quoted meet the Government s requirement.
