This acquisition provides for support to develop, revise, and document Navy weapon systems firing and pointing cutout zones and cutout mechanisms to implement the pointing and firing zones for assigned ships. This effort requires the development of weapon systems pointing and firing cutout zones, engagement arcs, and other data drawings to support five new construction zones. During contract performance, the contract will utilize its facilities and personnel to determine the need to modify the pointing and firing cutout zones of weapon systems onboard ships identified by the Government. Based upon ship schedules, the contractor maybe required to travel with less than 24 hours notice. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for participation by small business concerns and is a follow-on to NSWCDD Contract N60921-93-C-A317 with AEC Design. A cost-plus-fixed-fee (completion) type contract will be used for this acquisition. During the 60-month performance period, approximately 70,000 man-hours of support willbe required of the Project Manager, Engineer, Technician, Draftsman, Technician Aide, and Clerk categories.
