The proposed projects are located in Halverson March and an unnamed wetland south of Halverson Marsh on Fort Lewis, Washington. Vegetation to be removed is primarly reed canary grass with minor amount of cattail. The cut material will be removed from the channel and deposited on adjacent upland areas. Material to be cut and removed is composed primarily of root masses and varying amounts of above ground plant material. Depth of material to be cut and removed varies from two to four feet. This project must be initiated no earlier than June 1, 1998 and completed by July 15, 1998. The proposed procurement listed here is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Interested SB concerns should, as early as possible but not later than 15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by providing to the contracting office above, evidence of capability to perform. If adequate interest is not received from SB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from SB concerns.
