These items will provide a scanning transmission (STEM) capability for the Philips CM 120 electron microscope. (8) product # 799.81000, Spectrum imaging (STEM/DigiPEELS), (9), 799.88000, Spectrum imaging (EDS), this hardware interface and software will be used to obtain two-dimensional elemental maps of biological specimens with enhanced sensitivity. It will provide data in the form of "spectrum-images". (10), Product # 766.9000 DigiPeels 2D CCD upgrade, and (11) 766.2DT, Installation and Training for CCD upgrade and Spectrum Imaging. The detector will be used to acquire parallel electron energy loss spectra with higher efficiency than the existing linear photodiode array detector on the Gatan DIGIPEELS.
