Y -- NATO: COSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT RAF LAKENHEATH SOL 2AF 50613 DUE 042298 POC Alexis Kemper (202-482-1512) The United Kingdom Delegation to NATO is inviting bids for three separate NATO projects: Provide Perimeter Road; Restore Water Distribution System and Restore Airfield Drainage. The scope of work for the perimeter road entails construction of a new base perimeter road, approximately 6,600m long and 6m wide. The water distribution system work involves replacement of approximately 20,000m of water distribution pipes, and the construction of water storage tanks. The airfield drainage project calls for the replacement of approximately 17,000m of the storm water drainage system on Lakenheath airfield. Firms invited to bid for the contract will be given a statement of requirement and a performance specification for the scope of work. Firms will need to attend a bidders conference on site, and then submit a lump sum bid price for the work. Firms nominated will be sent a questionaire and asked to provide financial and technical information to show that they are able to carry out the proposed work. If a firm does not respond to the questionaire it will not be invited to bid for the contract. All applicants must be certified to compete in NATO ICB by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications.
