13 -- BUCKSHOT AMMUNITION SOL 98-Q-36 DUE 042398 POC Robert Petrosky, Contract Specialist, 202-435-6940 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation, RFQ-98-Q-36, which will be accomplished in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04. This is a firm fixed price requirement. The following FAR clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-1, with FAR 52-212-1(b)(8) and 52.212-1(e) being exempted for this procurement. CLIN-0001, 12 Gauge 00 Buckshot, 2-3/4 in., 9 pellets, copper clad Federal Premium P15400 or equal. The total quantity is 100,000 rounds. If quoting on a brand name equal, the manufacturer and model number must be stated in the quotation. The quotationshall identify the standard pack for rounds/case. The quoter shall deliver the complete quantity: (i) F.O.B. destination; (ii) within thirty days (ARO); and (iii) delivery shall be made to U.S. Secret Service, James J. Rowley Training Center, 9200 Powder Mill Road, Laurel, Md. 20708. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. Quoters proposing an equal product shall submit a 250 round sample of the proposed product for testing by the U.S. Secret Service. The evaluation of proposals and the determination as to equality of the item quoted shall be the responsibility of the Secret Service and will be based on information furnished by the quoter or identified in the quote, live testing of the submitted ammunition, as well as other information reasonably available to the Secret Service. The samples shall be sent to: U. S. Secret Service, James J. Rowley Training Center, 9200 Powder Mill Road, R-2, Laurel, Md 20708, Attn: Mike Zeffiro. Quotations shall be sent to US Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street NW, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: Robert Petrosky. All responses to this RFQ, including the required samples, are due by 3:00 PM Local Time on April 23, 1998. Award will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable quoter. See Note 26. (0097)
