The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD Shore Station Management Competency 8.3 has a requirement for standard uniforms to be worn by all Fire and Emergency Services personnel. This procurement is being conducted under SIC code 2389 and is full and open. This acquisition is being procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. Some of the performance requirements include that the contractor shall measure each requiring individual, approximately 81 personnel, for (shoe, shirt, pant, coat and head/hat size) and deliver to the NAWCAD Patuxent River, MD, the quantities and types of uniforms/footwear detailed in the solicitation. The contractor will also fabricate the NAS Fire Department Shoulder Patches. Patches will be either embroidered or screen-printed and the contractor will provide sample patches for department approval prior to delivery of uniforms/footwear. Contractor will provide 100% complete sets of uniforms/footwear for each individual within 90 days of order. The contractor shall deliver items to Department of the Navy, Fire Chief, Fire & Emergency Services -- 843000A, Building 103, 47795 Jackson Road Unit NASPS, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1451 90 days after receipt of order. All responsible sources shall respond in writing by 20 April 1998 of their intent to bid on this procurement.
