FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia has set aside 100% for small business a FFP contract to acquire the following: (1)BLAST MATS 16 each, 29 feet 2 inch x 14 ft. 7 in. with tight cover and under weave pattern. (2)WIRE ROPE NETS 32 each, 29 ft. 2 in. x 18 ft. 6 in. (3)RETAINING SCREENS 16 each 28 ft. 11 in. x 14 ft. 4 in. Construction for items is of 3/8 in. diameter for both mats and nets and 7/16 in. diameter for screens, all of Type VI, small cord, Class 3, 7 x 19 galvanized, high carbon steel, right regular lay performed aircraft cable built to meet or exceed Federal Specification RR-W-410D dtd April 1984. Items shall have 3 in. loops with NICO fittings for hanging and attachment purposes, provided around the perimeter of the net at 1 foot centers for the mats and 2 feet centers for the nets and screens. Approximate weights are 5,425 lbs per mat, l,080 lbs per net, and 1,100 lbs per screen. Wire rope for nets and screens shall consist of 4 in. mesh cut on the square each strand opened and inner-woven at juncture points with right angle members, closed and secured by galvanized U-bolts (rope clip) at 1 foot centers each way. Items shall be used as safety containment barriers around a Helicopter Blade Test stand. Barrier is shown on NAVFAC drawing No. 533774 (C-5) and 5337802 (S-2) provided as attachment to solicitation.
