Z -- ELECTRICAL AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM SOL 8250-3K15-98 DUE 060298 POC Contract Specialist, Brenda Wood 301-344-2441, Contracting Officer, Kathleen Morris, 301-344-0245 The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and supervision, etc. necessary to install a 15kV Loop Feeder, 15kV padmount switching, padmount unit substation transformers, secondary feeders, secondary distribution, telephone system, including fiberoptic and copper distribution, PBX system and re-connection of existing services. The work shall include providing a complete automatic operation system for the existing three engine generators. There is an existing automatic sequencing generator control panel that shall be taken out of service and replaced by an Automatic Generator Synchronizing Control Panel. The work is to be conducted at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center, Greenport, New York. The Estimated Cost of Construction for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Time for completion of work will be 270 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed. A pre-bid meeting at the facility is tentatively scheduled for May 11, 1998. Sets of plans and specifications will be available for a non-refundable charge of $50.00 (check or money order) made payable to USDA, Agricultural Research Service.
