Devens MA is located in western Massachusetts. Privatization is a process by which the Government sells its resources to a private entity and enters into a contract with that entity for service. The Devens Reserve Forces Training Area program for the South Post location is anticipated to involve purchase, ownership, maintenance and operation of the electrical distribution system as a commercial electrical utility system, with the exception that energy will be sold to the Devens Reserve Forces Training Area directly from New England Power.
