requires the services of a Computer Specialist to manage the BISNIS
Information Technology and databases. Perform user support for a staff
of 17 and related Overseas network staff of 15. BISNIS develops and
distributes to the US Business Community include, current market
assessments and data, trade and partner leads, updates on commercial
laws and regulation, guidance on sources of finance for NIS trade and
investment, tips on transportation, banking, customs, and other
practical aspects of doing business, notification of upcoming trade
promotion events, information on U.S. Government and multilateral
programs supporting U.S. -NIS commercial. Contractor will be
responsible for developing software to perfect a software product which
does common-sense checking of Foreign Company subscriptions to the
BISNIS world wide web site. Implement a user registration system,
research the possibilities of a transaction-based world wide web-access
system. This will be a "Best Value"FIRM Fixed Price Award with
technical expertise more important than price. Evaluation Criteria
includes: 2 years of background and demonstrable experience, in the
following areas: dealing with information technology concerns, and
meeting business intelligence needs of US Companies and the US
Government. Have experience working with or within the US Government in
a way that reflects there ability to navigate the procedures/?policies.
Demonstrate experience in dealing with information technology users in
a timely, results-oriented fashion. Have knowledge of Visual Basis,
Cold Fusion, World Wide Web navigating tools, a side variety of work
process packages, Microsoft9ft NT 4.0, HTML, Perl, c++, TCP/IP PPP,
SLIP, IPX/SPX, UDP, Netbeui, SMTP, NNTP, X.400, 10Base T. Demonstrate
record of working with little or no direct supervision, and a track
record of developing, independent of any direct technology-related
supervisors, solutions and responses to customer needs. Qualified
