The work is divided into three different sites in western Prince William Sound on the Chugach National Forest. Site A is the base item. Sites B and C are additive items contingent upon availability of funding. Site A and Site B are located near Eshamy Bay and Eshamy Lake, approximately 32 air miles southeast of Whittier, Alaska, in T 4-5 N, R 7-8 E, Seward Meridian. They are partial rectangular retracement surveys and can be accessed via boat, fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter. The work also consists of brushing, posting, and marking the National Forest property boundary. Site C is located near Jackpot Bay, approximately 32 air miles southeast of Whittier, Alaska, in T 3-4 N, R 7 E, Seward Meridian. The work consists of old National Forest property boundary maintenance, including sign and post removal and line obliteration. All work shall be performed by, or under the direct supervision of, a person registered or licensed to practice surveying in the State of Alaska. The estimated startwork date for this project is mid to late June 1998. The contract time will be 60 calendar days for the field work plus an additional 60 calendar days to complete all other work and deliver the final plats. A firm-fixed-price contract for professional architect-engineer services will be negotiated. Interested firms may request a Scope of Services document from the contracting office. Firms will be required to complete an SF-254 and SF-255 to be considered for this project. See numbered Note 24. This project is a 100% emerging small business set-aside. "Emerging small business" as used in this announcement means a small business concern whose average annual gross receipts for the last three fiscal years does not exceed $1.25 million. The estimated price range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
