This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. This solicitation identified as SOL 98-5-4-15 is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. Quotes shall be in accordance with all requirements of this notice including those which are included by reference. This requirement is for One (1) Used 1985, or newer, Vibratory Compactor: Minimum allowable weight 15,000 pounds; at least 200 horsepower; drum specifications: single, smooth, and 6 foot to 7 foot width drum; controls may be on either side; minimum hours machine life allowed: 3,000 hours or less; good operating condition; good physical condition; paint 80 percent or better; warranty. This requirement also includes a trade-in of One (1) Tempo RS16D, Serial No. 1000246A.
