is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no
written solicitation will be issued. This solicitation identified as
SOL 98-5-4-15 is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-03. Quotes shall be in accordance with all
requirements of this notice including those which are included by
reference. This requirement is for One (1) Used 1985, or newer,
Vibratory Compactor: Minimum allowable weight 15,000 pounds; at least
200 horsepower; drum specifications: single, smooth, and 6 foot to 7
foot width drum; controls may be on either side; minimum hours machine
life allowed: 3,000 hours or less; good operating condition; good
physical condition; paint 80 percent or better; warranty. This
requirement also includes a trade-in of One (1) Tempo RS16D, Serial No.
1000246A. The following provisions apply: 52.212-1 Instructions to
Offerors -- Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items;
52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial
Items (must be submitted with quote); 52.212-4 Contract Terms and
Conditions -- Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions
Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial
Items. Quotes must include information listed at 52.212-1(b)(1-11)
Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items. Quotes that fail to
furnish required Representations and Certifications at 52.212-3 Offeror
Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and/or reject
the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded from
consideration. Inspection and Acceptance: Spokane Agency Equipment
Mechanic will inspect and accept Compactor in Contractor's shop and
test drive near Contractor's location of business. Evaluation factors:
Price most advantageous to the Government in terms of age and physical
condition of Compactor; and Trade-in-Value offered for Tempo RS16D.
Required Delivery Date of Requirements: On or before May 15, 1998. FOB
Point: Destination. Point of Delivery: Bureau of Indian Affairs,
Spokane Agency, Branch of Roads, 201 Agency Square Road, Wellpinit, WA
99040. Submit Quote on company letterhead stationery, no later than
2:30 p.m., April 15, 1998 to Bureau of Indian Affairs, Portland Area
