The U.S. Department of Energy/Federal Energy Technology Center (DOE/FETC) generates various waste streams as a result of research programs being conducted at the facility. 2. SCOPE OF WORK: (2.1) The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation, and tools necessary for the proper identification, treatment and/or disposal of the waste material located at FETC. In performing this servie, the contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations regarding the receipt, transportation, treatment, storage and disposal of the waste materials including but not limited to: 2.1.1) Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (PL 94-580; 42 U.S.C. 3251). 2.1.2) Code of Federal Regulations, 40 CFR 260, d. Seq. 2.1.3) Hazardous Material Transportation Act (PL 93-633; 49 U.S.C. 1801). 2.1.4) Department of Transportation Regulations; Chapter 1, Subtitle B of Title 49 of the Code of Regulations). 2.1.5) Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Hazardous Substances Transportation Board Regulations (67 PA Code CH. 403). 2.1.6) Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Solid Waste Management Act (Act 97, Title 25, Chapter 260, et. Seq.). 2.1.7) State Hazardous Waste Disposal Requirements, particularly with the laws, rules, and reulations of the state in which the disposal site is or will be located. 3. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued for identification, treatment, and/or disposal of wastes materials at the U.S. Department Energy/Federal Energy Technology Center.
