J -- MAINTENANCE OF CATIIID AND RADCOM TEST STATION EQUIPMENT SOL N68335-98-Q0146 DUE 041498 POC Carl Ruzicka, Code 2131, (732)323-2741 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations with Northrop Grumman Corp. for maintenance of Government owned CATIIID and RADCOM test station equipment. A quantity of six each CAT/RADCOM stations are located at the Northrop Grumman plant in Bethpage, NY as Government Furnished Equipment under contracts for the development of peculiar support equipment for E-2C aircraft. These test stations will require maintenance service when the current contract expires (RADCOM -- 31 May 98 and CATIIID -- 30 Sept 98). It is intended to issue a firm fixed price order to Northrop Grumman under Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-97-G-0241 to satisfy this requirement. The order will cover approximately one year with an option for one additional year. The Government intends to procure these services under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The CATIIID/RADCOM test stations are bailed units located in a secure development laboratory area of the Northrop Grumman plant. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. Responses should reference N68335-98-Q-0146. Information must be received no later than 14 April 1998. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the descretion of the Government. (0084)
