NOVEL LOW LOSS CERAMIC FERROELECTRIC MATERIALS The U.S. Army Research Laboratory announces the development of several novel low loss ceramic ferroelectric materials for the purpose of commericalization by the private sector. These materials have applications in phased array antennas, varistor-capacitor devices, varactors, multielement phaseshifters, ceramic RF filters and a variety of other electronic devices. It is estimated that these materials can be produced at 1/25 the cost of ferrite phase shifters, while maintaining nearly identical performance characteristics. Specific information concerning patents, licensing information, and technical information can be viewed on the Mid-Atlantic Federal Laboratory Consortium Web Server at http://www.fedlabs.org/flc/ma/pl.
