The Bureau of Land Management proposes to noncompetitively issue a purchase order to Sutter Equipment Co. of Novato, California, for one each S.W.E.C.O. 480 Trail Dozer to safely construct trails in steep, rocky terrain with minimal disturbance to adjacent areas, while maintaining sufficient traction, f.o.b. Prineville, Oregon. This procurement will allow for an option of one additional unit. The S.W.E.C.O. motorcycle/ATV tractor is the only equipment that will allow for construction of trails that meet required Bureau of Land Management motorcycle/ATV trail construction standards. This capability is due to the following unique S.W.E.C.O. features: 1) 48 inch wide blade; 2) Six-way tilting blade; 3) Weight: 9000 lbs; 4) Steel Tracks; 5) 80 HP turbo-charged engine, and 6) Air Compressor to operate rock removal attachments.
