(BLM) has a requirement to conduct a federal coal leasehold appraisal
in southern Utah. The purpose of the appraisal is to determine the
current fair market value of leases held by Andalex, comprising
approximately 34,000 acres, located on the Kaiparowits Plateau. The
appraisal is required to be conducted by a Utah licensed General
Appraiser and the technical aspects of the report including geological,
mining engineering, and marketing analyses, will require performance by
technical specialists in valuing an underground coal property in Utah
and coal markets. The contract performance period is anticipated to be
four (4) months from the date of award. Copies of the solicitation
should be available on or about April 20, 1998. This is an unrestricted
